Request a Clearance

Clearances can be requested online. A clearance is a letter that confirms whether or not a WCB account is in good standing and clears a third party from liability for that account's premiums.

If you already have a myWCB UserID, click on the "Sign in now" link towards the top of the page and sign in using your UserID.  This will allow you to use additional features not otherwise available (e.g., saving lists of accounts and automatically populating pages with required information).

This is the default letter type and is appropriate for the majority of situations. Approximately 99% of all clearances issued are of this type. A labour clearance is required when contractors or subcontractors are hired. It clears the hiring company from liability for payment of the contractor's or subcontractor's premiums.
